  • Part-Time 0.5 FTE/18 hours per week job share, Fixed-Term position until December 2026

  • Salary Level HEW 7 + 17% Superannuation

  • Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, and hybrid ways of working

About the role

As Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access Advisor, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of workforce development strategies, projects and policies for workplace-related cultural change that support RMIT’s Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access Framework.

The focus will be on Gender Equality, Accessibility and Disability, LGBTIQA+, Cultural Inclusion, and you are encouraged to bring and share a diverse perspective from your background, identity and experiences.

The ideal candidate will have experience in project management, preparing and delivering workshops and community focused events, and the ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with stakeholders.

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • Demonstrated understanding of community diversity, with the proven capacity to draw upon related skills and expertise to develop and deliver equity and inclusion programs that are targeted and responsive.

  • Demonstrated ability to undertake a range of consultancies across a broad spectrum of organisational development areas with particular interest in supporting RMIT’s Diversity and Inclusion Framework. 

  • Excellent communication skills, including facilitation, negotiation, influencing skills, report writing, presentation skills and stakeholder management.

  • A passion for continuous improvement and success in delivering People initiatives that have

  • resulted in improved outcomes.

  • Effective planning, organisational, and project management skills, including coordinating staff for the effective delivery of events and programs.

  • Highly developed organisational, research and analytical skills, exposure or interest in external benchmarking or accreditations.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of, and ability to interpret relevant legislation, Industrial Agreements to inform the research, benchmarking and development RMIT practices, initiatives and policies.

Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.
