Position overview

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Student Life the Digital Designer works closely with staff across the University Experience portfolio on projects to enhance the student experience of orientation, transition and co-curricular activities for all student cohorts; supports student safety and wellbeing; promotes portfolio activities; and engages with stakeholders. Specifically, the Digital Designer will be responsible for developing comprehensive online orientation modules which support the transition of new students to ANU, supports their personal, profession and academic development, and engages them in the University community and support services.

The person

The ideal candidate is a creative and detail-oriented Digital Designer with experience developing and implementing engaging online modules, preferably in a higher education environment. They have exceptional communication skills and can design high-quality, inclusive and targeted content that supports students’ transition to university and enhances their overall experience. Highly organised and self-motivated, they effectively manage projects, prioritise tasks and maintain strong attention to detail. The candidate collaborates confidently with diverse stakeholders, supports continuous improvement through evaluation, and develops clear training materials. They demonstrate a strong understanding of online learning, student experience and equal opportunity principles within a university context.
