The role
If you are a well-qualified academic with a background in arts, design, or communications, then this position offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role working on our cutting-edge DOSA3 project.
Working under the guidance of Co-Investigator Dr. Alison Prendiville, you will contribute to the social science and service design research elements of the DOSA3 project, Diagnostics for One Health User-Driven Solutions for AMR, funded by PACE.
In this role, you will assist in the conceptualisation and design of qualitative studies, including ethnographic research, focus groups, interviews and co-design sessions, while coordinating with research staff from Assam University to support data collection and fieldwork.
You will be engaged across the full lifecycle of the project, from facilitating participatory action research and supporting community engagement, to undertaking data analysis and advising scientific researchers and local stakeholders on social science and service design methodologies. You will also develop co-design tools to enhance community participation in Health, Nutrition and Sanitation Days and contribute to the dissemination of findings through conference presentations, journal articles and other relevant channels, collaborating with colleagues as needed.
About you
The successful candidate will hold a PhD or equivalent experience in arts, design, or communications and be recognised as an authority in your field, with a strong track record of research dissemination through exhibitions, performances, publications and conference presentations.
You will combine this with a proven track record of successfully securing grants from external bodies to support individual or collaborative research projects, alongside excellent teamwork, collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to adapt style and media to suit different audiences and monitor understanding through feedback.
