PhD Scholarship: Optimising the Potential for Equine Assisted Therapy to Benefit Children and Adults with an Intellectual Disability
The School of Nursing & Midwifery at Trinity College Dublin invite applications for a fully funded PhD scholarship in partnership with Stewarts Care.
Background
Stewarts Care is based in Palmerstown, Dublin, and provides a range of services to children and adults with intellectual disabilities across counties Dublin, Kildare, and Meath. Stewarts’ mission is to empower and support individuals with different abilities to have an enriched life experience based on their own decisions and life choices. Stewarts is committed to providing persons with an intellectual disability with the services that they require, irrespective of their level of need. Person-centred services are provided, taking cognisance of the person’s dignity and rights, and based on an assessment of need and the services requested. The principal object of the organisation is to provide optimum services promoting the education, wellbeing, dignity, health and happiness of people with an intellectual disability. These services are to be provided in the context of their individual and family needs and those of the community.
