This scholarship provides:

• An opportunity to engage in a mentorship with a member of the Port of Portland

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

• be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, an Australian permanent resident or a permanent humanitarian visa holder
• identify as a woman
• be enrolling full-time in the semester 1 and 2 2024 at RMIT in one of the following programs:
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil and Infrastructure) (Honours) (BH077)
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil and Infrastructure) (Honours) / Bachelor of Business (BH088)
• have at least one year of full-time study left to complete in your program
• be able to demonstrate circumstance/s which impact your ability to study such as:
  • receiving a government tested low-income benefit or having a Centrelink Health Care Card
  • living with a disability, long-term medical condition or identify as neurodiverse
  • experiencing personal/family/social difficulties
  • be from an interstate or rural/regional area and moving/moved to Melbourne to study at RMIT
  • have previously/are currently living in foster/kinship care or are a ward of the state
  • be from an under-represented background such as
    • Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
    • were born overseas, are from a non-English background and recently migrated to Australia
    • current or former refugee
    • completed secondary school at a School Network Access Program school
• be aiming to complete your degree in no more than the standard duration including any credit exemptions (four years for the single degree / five years for the double degree).
• be willing to participate in an interview, if an interview is required as part of the selection process, and if you are shortlisted*

Preference will be given to applicants who will need to/have already relocate/d from a rural/regional location to study at RMIT.
