Rick and Kathy’s commitment to supporting learners, whatever their starting base may be, has inspired the Kathy Digwood and Rick Cummings Future Teacher Scholarship which will assist first year Bachelor of Education students who are facing financial and/or personal hardship.

Eligibility

To apply for this scholarship you must:

  • be an Australian Citizen
  • be in financial and/or personal hardship
  • Must be commencing 1st year of a Bachelor of Education:
    • Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Primary)
    • Bachelor of Education (Primary)
    • Bachelor of Education (Primary, 1-10 Health and PE)
    • Bachelor of Education (Secondary)

Successful candidates must study full-time at Murdoch University and be commencing their first year of tertiary study.

Required Documents
To apply for this scholarship you must have the following:
  • Completed Application Form
  • Written character reference
  • Personal statement of no more than 500 words addressing:
    • the personal and/or financial hardship you are facing and the impact it is having on you
    • how the scholarship will assist you to be successful in your studies

 
Payment Method

Payments will be made directly into your nominated bank account in the following instalments:

  • $2,500 in week 7 or 8 of the semester you are awarded
  • $2,500 in week 7 or 8 of the consecutive second semester

All payments are subject to your ongoing acceptance and compliance with the  terms and conditions  of the award.
