The Australian Academy of Technological Sciences & Engineering’s Elevate (ATESE): ATSE’s Elevate: Boosting diversity in STEM program (“Elevate”) will award up to 500 undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships to women and non-binary people in STEM. 

The Elevate program provides:

• A scholarship 
• Access to events and networking 
• Mentoring 
• Ongoing support during scholars’ university studies

The number of scholarships awarded each year may vary and is at the discretion of ATSE, in consultation with the Department of Industry, Science and Resources (DISR). 

There will be a total of up to 500 scholarships awarded during the program across the three scholarship categories for study at an Australian university to gain, extend, or build on STEM education and qualifications.

ATSE strongly encourages applications from individuals who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander; individuals from regional, rural or remote areas; LGBTQIA+ individuals; individuals from culturally or linguistically diverse backgrounds or low-socioeconomic backgrounds; or those living with a disability. Diversity, inclusion, and achievement relative to opportunity will be considered in the assessment and selection process.

There are three Scholarships that you may apply for depending on your year of study:

Undergraduate Scholarship 2026

• Up to $30,000

Leadership Scholarship 2026

• Up to $70,000

Postgraduate Research Scholarship 2026

• Up to $150,250
