Position Description
Primary Purpose and Essential Functions | The School of Health Sciences at the University of the Pacific invites applicants for a part-time, non-tenure position as an associate clinical professor in the Master of Science Clinical Nutrition Program. Part-time faculty will develop and/or teach online, hybrid, or in-person courses. The accelerated sixteen (16) month program offers a specialization in clinical nutrition. The curriculum is delivered over four (4) consecutive trimesters. The curriculum is designed to meet the competency-based educational model of the future graduate ACEND standards. Supervised clinical practice experiential learning is woven throughout didactic coursework. Teaching is the primary focus at the University. We aspire to promote student learning within a humanistic environment that facilitates student success to be competent self-directed learners. The role of the part-time instructional faculty within the MSCN Program at University of the Pacific is to provide instruction and develop courses as assigned in areas of knowledge and expertise. The successful faculty candidate will be part of a highly motivated, cohesive faculty of experienced educators working as an interdisciplinary team to deliver innovative curriculum designed to meet the future graduate future model ACEND Accreditation Standards. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with other MSCN faculty members within the program to provide expertise and contribute to a collaborative working environment. This position will report directly to the MSCN Program Director. Job Description and Responsibilities Include:

Work is performed during standard hours; Additional hours may be required to meet business needs or deadlines. Hiring Range | $24,375 (We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.) |
