Plymouth State University invites applications for part-time faculty to teach Anatomy & Physiology I and II labs. Applicants will be responsible for running lab sessions independently using the established curriculum, answering student questions, holding in-person office hours, and grading quizzes, lab reports, and lab practicals. All courses are taught 100% in person on Plymouth State’s main campus in Plymouth, NH. The position is part-time ONLY. Multiple sections are available.
Duties/Responsibilities
(70%) Running lab sections
(15%) Grading of quizzes, lab reports, and lab practicals
(15%) Holding in-person office hours at least once a week, and attend and contribute to once-weekly meetings with the A&P teaching team
Minimum Qualifications
Master of Science or Master of Education degree
Individuals with experience teaching Anatomy & Physiology labs will be given priority
Established eligibility to work in the U.S.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Commitment to maintaining consistency with other faculty in a teaching team
Flexibility to instruct students from multiple disciplines
Comfortable teaching an existing curriculum or upholding established accreditation standards
Experience with or willingness to learn how to use software and equipment for physiology labs
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in Biology, Science Education, or Health Science
Prior employment teaching Anatomy & Physiology labs at the undergraduate level
Experience teaching a common/shared curriculum with a team of faculty
Experience with instruction of first-generation college students
Familiarity with Canvas or similar instructional software
