Job Description
Student Affairs Administrator (Engagement and Formation)
The Student Affairs Administrator (Engagement and Formation) supports the work of the Division of Student Affairs, with a focus on formative initiatives, integrated learning, student and staff development (in collaboration with Human Resources), and divisional signature events and traditions. This position contributes to advancing the division’s strategic plan and strengthening the student experience through research, project management, event coordination, and administrative support.
Acting on behalf of the Associate Vice President, the Administrator partners with Division of Student Affairs staff and campus stakeholders to implement divisional initiatives. The role also provides primary support to the Associate Vice President for Engagement and Formation, including project coordination, calendar management, and communication support.
This cross-functional position may serve in support of various departments, contribute to divisional operations, and take on additional responsibilities such as committee participation, presentations, or liaison roles.

Work Schedule and Conditions
- Primarily on-campus; occasional evening and weekend commitments; must be comfortable traversing a hilly campus in various weather conditions.
- Each staff member is expected to contribute to division- and university-wide initiatives, including committee service, event support, and special projects as needed.
Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $59,400 to $74,250; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, Master’s degree preferred
- A minimum of 1-2 years of higher education experience is preferred. Undergraduate and Graduate experience in Student Affairs will be considered.
- Experience working with Student Affairs professionals, students and campus leaders; working knowledge of Student Affairs best practices at R1 Research Institutions, Atlantic Coast Conference schools and/or Jesuit schools helpful, but not required.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively with staff from across the division and university.
- Excellent communication skills (in verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, communicate with a variety of stakeholders, and navigate institutional infrastructure as well as train staff.
- In-depth understanding of Jesuit education principles and commitment to service; prior experience at a Catholic university highly preferred.
- Desire to serve in multiple capacities/departments within the Student Affairs portfolio as needed.
