Description

The University of Chicago’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience is searching for a full-time faculty member at the rank of Professor. The appointee will be a leader in clinical care and mental health services research focused on the integration of behavioral health services into diabetes care management for children. The appointee will provide assessments and evidence-based interventions for patients with mental health disorders related to diabetes care management and will interact with endocrinologists, dietitians, diabetes educators, psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to inform shared treatment plans and provide clinical and consultative services to endocrinology providers. The appointee will also focus on increasing research collaboration with clinicians in the field of pediatric and adolescent diabetes care management. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity.  Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent upon qualifications. Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology from an American Psychiatry Association (APA)-accredited university-based doctoral program, 2) hold or be eligible for an Illinois license in Clinical Psychology, and 3) have completed an internship at an APA-accredited site.
