JOB SUMMARY:

The Program Coordinator, Outreach & Engagement, reports to the Program Manager, Outreach & Engagement, and is actively involved in coordinating the development and implementation of outreach and engagement strategies for CPAN, TCHATT, and other associated programs (six programs in total), with the purpose of elevating awareness, impact, and engagement while ensuring alignment with the Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium (TCMHCC) and departmental goals. This position will work collaboratively with the Program Manager and other key personnel to ensure outreach and educational materials meet and align with UT Tyler and TCMHCC brand standards. Position should possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal team members, medical providers, ISD staff/parents, and the public. The Program Coordinator will work with limited supervision, possess strong attention to detail, be deadline oriented, have effective written and oral communication skills, and should be committed to professional, ethical, and practice standards.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES / CRITICAL TASKS:

  • Research and order promotional items.

  • Gather production quotes from approved vendors for various print projects.

  • Oversee inventory of promotional items and miscellaneous outreach materials.

  • Responsible for updating departmental web pages, in line with new institutional guidelines.

  • Coordinate and participate in various community events in which our programs are involved.

  • Coordinate vendor deliveries and local pick up of outreach materials. Participate in team/departmental meetings.

  • Participate in consortium, departmental, or specific team-related trainings as required.

  • Coordinate outreach efforts, site visits, and follow up (in person or email) as needed within our 25-county region to increase program awareness, engagement, and utilization.

  • Proofread all outreach materials.

  • Work directly with other program coordinators, managers, and administrative specialists within the department to ensure requisitions, purchase orders, and vendor payments are processed on a timely basis.

  • Provide weekly project status report to Program Manager.

  • Coordinate new hire photography and collection/creation of professional bios for all programs.

  • Use Canva to create various graphics, flyers, faxes, etc., as needed for departmental use.

  • Oversee the organization and updating of outreach and engagement-related files stored on our internal SharePoint site.

  • Coordinate photography for events, team meetings, and conferences to use for social media, newsletters, and other outreach efforts.

  • Actively research regional outreach opportunities for all programs.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, public health, business, marketing, communications, or related field preferred.

  • Two (2) years of related work experience required.

  • Experience working with higher education institutions is preferred.

  • Experience working with healthcare/public health or non-profit organizations preferred.

  • Demonstrated communication skills to engage with vendors, clients, departmental staff, and other key stakeholders preferred.

  • Experience with Canva or other graphic design software preferred.
