Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Pursues collaborative research to be presented at academic forums and published in peer-reviewed academic journals.
- Engages in the intellectual environment of CAAI, Chicago Booth, and UChicago.
- Guides data collection, evaluation and analysis. May design and manage databases. Writes reports, articles and manuscripts.
- As necessary, performs administrative duties associated with the management of a research project and/or group.
- Plans and delivers technical workshops for faculty, PhD students, and research professionals.
- Uses subject matter and best practices knowledge to perform lab and/or research-related duties and tasks. Works independently to assist with project design.
- Guides data collection, evaluation and analysis. Designs and manages databases. Writes reports, articles and manuscripts.
- Performs other related work as needed.
Minimum Qualifications

Education:
- Ph.D. earned or expected by September 2025 in CS or related field.
Experience:
- At least three years of strong record of research productivity in machine learning and artificial intelligence.
- Expertise in AI/ML and interests in business and policy applications.

- Work effectively and diplomatically with faculty, students, staff, and other colleagues through a variety of communication channels.
- Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills, as well as organizational skills.
- Work independently with little supervision.
- Self-motivated disposition.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend effective changes, all while achieving key objectives resulting in desired outcomes.
Working Conditions
- This position is currently expected to work a minimum three days per week in the office.
