The department of Chemistry is looking for a driven Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our collaborative team! In this role, you’ll dive into hands-on laboratory experiments, contribute to high-impact publications, and play a key role in shaping future research through proposal development. Opportunities to Contribute

  • Conduct experimental laboratory research.

  • Participate in analyzing and disseminating data results as part of participation in group meetings.

  • Prepare manuscripts, periodic reports, and scientific papers/presentations.

  • Attend scientific meetings and seminars for research enhancement.

  • Keep up to date on scientific research via reading of literature, etc.

  • Provide advice and assistance to other laboratory team members, and act as a mentor to students.

  • Maintain laboratory instrumentation and follow applicable safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Appropriate Ph.D.

A well-qualified candidate will also possess

  • Requires the ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

  • Contributes to team effort by working effectively with individuals.

  • Graduate student research work experience.

Salary: Compensation will be commensurate based on the selected hire’s education and experience.

Schedule: This position may require working evening and/or weekend hours

Special Note: This position is funded from grant and/or contract funding, which is renewed through provisions of the grantor of the contract. Therefore, this position is contingent upon continuation of funding from these grants and/or contracts, as well as satisfactory job performance.
