Postdoctoral Associate

Required Qualifications: (as evidenced by an attached resume)
PhD (or foreign equivalent) in hand by 12/2025. Postgraduate experience with protein-ligand interaction determination (e.g. MST). Postgraduate experience with X-ray crystallography evidenced by PDB-entry.

Preferred Qualifications:
Peer-reviewed and published research paper. Postgraduate experience protein expression, purification, crystallization, SAR of enzyme inhibitors.

Brief Description of Duties: 
The Postdoctoral Associate will assist the Principal Investigator Dr. Markus Seeliger   in the department of Pharmacological Sciences .  The incumbent will conduct research and ensure that all experiments are appropriately conducted following the policies and procedures of Stony Brook University.

●     Within the predetermined research scope and methodology, perform independent research related to the development of enzyme inhibitors

●     Instruct and train graduate and undergraduate students.

●     Participate/assist in writing research reports and research support funding/grant applications.

●     Other duties as assigned, which may include attending relevant courses and scientific conferences.

The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
