Position Summary:

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow for the department of Neurosurgery at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the Postdoctoral Associate will provide professional scientific expertise and technical support in the planning and execution of projects related to research and process development. 
Among the key duties of this position are the following:

•  Conducts research processes and procedures in the PI laboratory. 
•  Assists in the acquisition and analysis of data. 
•  Supports PI's plans, developments, and implementations of laboratory and research studies. 
•  Assists with the instructing and training of junior laboratory personnel. 
•  Prepares manuscripts, written reports of research experiments, grant applications, and slides for scientific presentations. 
•  Gives oral presentations of the research. 
•  Collaborates with internal and external researchers on analyzing and interpreting data. 

Minimum Education and Experience:

• PhD degree in biomedical engineering, neuroscience, cognitive science or a closely related field required. 
• Experience in collecting and analyzing data Solid background in experimental design, statistics and scientific writing Excellent time-management, written and oral communication skills.

• Physical Demands:  Standing, sitting, walking, talking, and hearing. Experience working in a fast-paced environment. Lab environment. Lifting to 25lbs.

Salary: Maximum salary of $90,000 budgeted
