The Gunsalus and Piano Lab at NYU?s Center for Genomics and Systems Biology is looking for a highly motivated and independent Postdoctoral Associate with training in Computational Science and Artificial Intelligence. This position will focus on the prediction of genetic interaction networks and image analysis for automated phenotyping. We welcome interest in developing both ongoing and novel research projects in the lab, and are particularly interested in candidates who can expand on current research projects. For more information about our past and ongoing work, please visit http://gunsaluspiano.bio.nyu.edu/.

This position is for a post-PhD trainee preparing for a research scientist career path. It provides transition to career independence through the development of professional skills, close collaboration with senior scientists incorporating an individual development plan in support of training goals and those of the faculty mentor, and publication of research findings/scholarship during the postdoctoral appointment period.

In compliance with NYC?s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $76,000-$86,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.

The ideal candidate will hold a PhD with research experience in Computational Science and Artificial Intelligence, and a track record of peer-reviewed publications. Prior experience with biological network analysis and practical application of a variety of machine learning and computer vision techniques is preferred. The successful candidate will be expected to plan and carry out research tasks independently, to present and write up findings on a regular basis, and to participate in regular meetings with the PI and other laboratory members.

Please upload your application materials via Interfolio. Include the following items: 1) CV including a list of publications; 2) a short summary of your present and future research interests; 3) a list of three references and their contact information.
