? Electrophysiological and optogenetic investigations of cognition-related hippocampal formation and related brain                      networks.
? Analysis of electrophysiologically-evoked responses to assess synaptic population changes after memory is established. 
? Numerical analysis of complex data sets to evaluate the neural representation of information in the physiological                        recordings above.
? Collaboration with the research team to integrate biochemical, and molecular investigations into the physiological and              behavioral studies that are your primary focus.
? Preparation of papers and materials for publication, grant applications and reports, and other communication, including            archiving of analysis code and data for dissemination within the research community.
? Routine laboratory chores, like day-to-day rodent care, ordering and equipment maintenance.
 
In compliance with NYC?s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $62,500 - $70,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.


? Ph.D. and the following experience:
? Setup of silicon microelectronics based electrophysiology laboratory for awake mouse studies, including microfabrication,            electrode integration and optimization of laboratory best practices. At least 3 years of experience with the techniques and            analysis
? Setup of ex vivo hippocampus slice physiology recordings of evoked potentials to assess synaptic function
