The Post Doctoral Scholar will play a key role in advancing interdisciplinary research in STEM higher education to evaluate student learning outcomes and instructional practices. The position supports a collaborative research initiative led by faculty and staff from the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Education and Human Ecology at The Ohio State University. The Post Doctoral Scholar will engage in a variety of research activities that advance the project’s goal of improving STEM instruction and outcomes for student populations.

Required: Ph.D. in STEM Education, Chemistry Education, Higher Education, Leadership and Policy Studies, Learning Sciences, Evaluation and Measurement or a closely related field. Demonstrated expertise in educational and social science research methods, with a strong background in quantitative and/or qualitative analysis. Show evidence of experience in survey research, instrument development, and statistical data analysis. Show evidence of experience in focus groups, interviews, and other qualitative methodologies. Be skilled in literature review, research project management, and academic writing. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Exhibit research interest in areas such as STEM higher education, graduate student and faculty retention, mixed methods research, or intersectionality in postsecondary contexts. Demonstrated success in publishing peer-reviewed journal articles. Experience conducting and analyzing interviews and organizing quantitative and/or qualitative data.

This is for two (2) full-time, 12-month, Post Doctoral Scholar positions funded by an HHMI grant.

The pay range for this job profile is $61,008 - $65,000. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
