Job Summary | We are a seeking highly motivated researcher with an interest in Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and its related dementias (ADRD) to work on managing datasets and analyzing data. The positions will be supported by the National Institute on Aging-funded grant. The candidate will be expected to conduct genome-wide and epi-genome-wide association studies, perform whole genome sequencing analysis, analyze RNA-seq data to investigate gene expression patterns and their implications, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate findings from various omics data, develop and apply bioinformatics pipelines, statistical models, and novel for data analysis, prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals, and present findings at scientific conferences. A coding sample is required in order to complete the application process. The initial appointment is for 12 months with the possibility of an extension. |
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | PhD in statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology, bioinformatics, data science, computer science, or related. Should have strong programing skills and knowledge of statistical modelling. Expertise with R and Linux shell is essential. Python experience preferred. |
