Description
The Georgetown Psaros Center for Financial Markets and Policy invites applications for a post-doctoral research associate position in finance. The one-year position will begin in July 2025 and is renewable.
The position provides a competitive stipend plus support for travel and research-related expenses. The Research Associate will work closely with the Center's director and other finance faculty , primarily supporting research and data analysis pertaining to research projects. The successful candidate will advance a number of research projects from conceptualization through publication, formulate research methods, suggest options for improving quality, identify potential problems, and implement solutions. There will be opportunities to connect with collaborators and mentors, and obtain feedback on research. The candidate’s primary supervisor will be the Center director, Professor Reena Aggarwal.
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have a PhD in Finance or related field by the start date. Candidates must show potential for excellence in research on topics related to empirical corporate finance. Proficiency in using large databases typically used in finance research is required. Candidates must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to publish research in academic journals.

The projected base salary range is $75,000-$100,000. Compensation is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
