Summary of Job Duties:
The Post Doctoral Fellow will provide high-level research support by independently executing small, complex research projects or leading major components of larger studies. Under general supervision, the Fellow will design, organize, and conduct advanced scientific experiments following established protocols or create new ones as needed. Responsibilities include analyzing and summarizing data, preparing manuscripts for publication, and contributing to grant development. The Fellow will also assist in lab management, mentor junior team members, and support regulatory and administrative compliance.
Qualifications:
PhD in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field.
At least 1–2 years of laboratory research experience in molecular biology, microbiology (bacterial or viral), cancer research (oncogenesis, drug resistance, drug discovery), or a related field.
Demonstrated experience with cell culture, Western blotting, PCR, flow cytometry, microscopy, and animal handling.
Proficient in molecular techniques including molecular cloning, gene mutation, CRISPR, and lentiviral systems, as well as working with animal models (i.p., i.v., oral, and intracranial injections).
Strong scientific writing skills with first-author peer-reviewed publications.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong scientific writing and presentation skills
Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
Solid understanding of experimental design and research ethics
Familiarity with grant preparation, compliance protocols, and regulatory documentation (IRB, IACUC, IBC)
