Physician Therapy Technician

Location:  New Orleans, LA
Summary
We are looking for a resourceful physical therapy tech to support our physical therapists. In this role, you will be working under the clinical direction of a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapy Assistant to assist patients who have difficulty performing activities of daily living and work activities due to illnesses, injuries, and disabilities. The physical therapy tech will help patients perform exercises or functional activities as specified in a treatment plan. 
To ensure success, the physical therapy tech should exhibit a solid grasp on the daily operations of a physical therapy facility and the ability to work under the supervision of physical therapists. An outstanding physical therapy tech will be someone whose organizational skills and attentive insight contribute to exceptional patient care. 
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Demonstrated ability to work in a clinical setting
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in office software, such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook Express
• Proficient in electronic medical record software (e.g. ECW, Epic, etc)
Required Education and/or Experience
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous experience in a Physical Therapy Clinic
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Physical Ability to lift and move patients if required.
Compensation Information
This position is classified as "non-exempt, hourly" and is assigned to pay grade 22.
