The Department of Mathematical Sciences plans to make one or more part-time postdoctoral appointments (postdoctoral associate special faculty) beginning September 2025. The purpose of the Mathematical Sciences Postdoctoral Research Fellowships (MSPRF) is to support future leaders in mathematics and statistics by facilitating their participation in postdoctoral research environments that will have maximal impact on their future scientific development. There are two options for awardees: Research Fellowship and Research Instructorship. Awards will support research in areas of mathematics and statistics, including applications to other disciplines.

 

Preference will be given to candidates who have shown outstanding promise and/or excellent accomplishments in research. A Ph.D. in mathematics or closely related disciplines is required.

Applicants should submit all materials electronically through Mathjobs and this Interfolio site.  This includes a cover letter, a curriculum vita, list of publications, a teaching statement, and a statement describing current and planned research activities. At least three letters of reference, one of which addresses teaching, will be solicited through Mathjobs.
