Position Summary |
The Scholarly Communications Librarian will enhance the visibility and impact of scholarly research. This role primarily involves leading initiatives on scholarly communication, advocating for ethical publishing practices, recommending technological solutions, and working closely with HSLIC team members to integrate and elevate research services. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in scholarly communication tools, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and possess a strong analytical ability to navigate and influence the scholarly publishing landscape. This position offers the opportunity to work in a team-oriented environment that values innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration.
This is a full-time, benefits eligible faculty position with a primary appointment in HSLIC. The UNM provides a diversified package of benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Appointment is posted as open rank, to be determined based on qualifications. Salary range: $76,267.00 - $80,281.05.

About the Library: our mission is to advance health and health equity as New Mexico’s only publicly accessible health sciences library. We empower evidence-based health care, intellectual discovery, lifelong learning, and engagement with our diverse communities by providing high quality and unique collections; integrated education and programs; and innovative, inclusive spaces. HSLIC serves the UNM School of Medicine, including its Health Professions programs; undergraduate and graduate programs in the College of Nursing, College of Pharmacy, and College of Population Health; the UNM Hospitals and Health System; and the Comprehensive Cancer Center.
