Neuropathologist, In Residence Faculty Position | Memory and Aging Center, UCSF Department of Neurology, UCSF Department of Pathology, UCSF School of Medicine, and the UCSF Weill Institute for Neuroscience
The UCSF Department of Neurology is seeking applicants for an In Residence faculty position to contribute to research efforts within the UCSF Memory and Aging Center (MAC) and Neurodegenerative Disease Brain Bank (NDBB). The incumbent would become an integral member of the NDBB and contribute to several ongoing research programs, including the UCSF Alzheimer's Disease Research Center, a program project grant on frontotemporal dementia, and others.
Qualified applicants will be board-certified in Neuropathology and have a record of scholarly activities in the field of neurodegeneration. The ideal candidate is a mid-career neuropathologist with an independent research program focused on Alzheimer’s disease or frontotemporal dementia who welcomes the opportunity to transition into a larger leadership role over the next five years. Faculty at any career stage are encouraged to apply. Depending on the successful candidate's professional achievements and career level, they will be proposed for a faculty appointment as Assistant Professor in Residence, Associate Professor in Residence, or Professor in Residence by the Department of Neurology and/or the Department of Pathology.

Teaching responsibilities may include didactic and informal teaching on clinical rounds, and/or informal laboratory teaching. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5 . The minimum base salary range for this position is $118,000-$333,700. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
For positions that are 50% effort or less:
See Table 2 for the salary range for this position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $90,700-$238,300.
