Job Summary: | The Department of Radiology is seeking an individual who can conduct independent research and support the research of others, especially related to Magnetic Resonance (MR) imaging of neurological disorders, such as Alzheimer's Disease and other neurogenerative diseases. Additional scholarly activities will also be included. |

Responsibilities: | Develop and validate methodologies for quantitatively measuring neurological biomarkers, conduct translational research, and develop image acquisition, reconstruction, and post-processing methods. Develop innovative methods of detecting and measuring biomarkers of neuro-fluids and cerebrovascular health to study aging and neurological disorders. Serve as an institutional subject matter expert in Magnetic Resonance (MR) imaging of neurological disorders, including Alzheimer's Disease. Perform other scholarly activities, including writing grant applications to obtain extramural funding, publishing manuscripts in reputable journals, presenting research results at international conferences, and participating in teaching and mentoring activities. |

Qualifications: | Excellent communication skills are required for interacting with a variety of personnel with varied backgrounds, including technologists, radiologists, residents, fellows and researchers within the Department of Radiology and collaborating departments. Demonstrated success in submitting grant applications and obtaining extramural funding (preferably NIH). Experience developing and validating methodologies for quantitatively measuring biomarkers, conducting translational research, and developing image acquisition, reconstruction, and post-processing methods. |
