Job Description

What We're Looking For

Baylor University is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to support the mission and vision of the University within the College of Arts and Sciences at the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience by assisting with setting up in Dr. Masha Gartstein’s infant electroencephalogram (EEG) laboratory and initiating data collection with mothers and infants. 

This fellowship is projected to start January 2026 with an anticipated end date in December 2028. 

A Doctoral Degree is required. Two years of relevant work experience is preferred. Applicants who are ABD are invited to apply if their degree is conferred by the start of the fellowship. 

What You Will Do

  • Collect and process EEG data
  • Obtain mother report and behavioral observations of infant temperament 
  • Observe mother-infant interactions in the laboratory 
  • Oversee research and related student activities
  • Assist with project coordination
  • Assist with data analysis and publication/grant development
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
  • Comply with university policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
