Job Summary and Description
Serves as the authoritative consultant for the design, development and evaluation of instructional programs, materials, methods, student support systems, teaching and assessment techniques. Collaborates with Department Chairs and/or Deans on the effectiveness of the instructional programs.
Reports to the Chief Online Learning Officer/Associate Vice Chancellor.

 Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Master's degree in a related field; or a combination of relevant experience, education and training that equates to the required degree.
  • Five years of instructional design experience.
  • Experience or related experience in all phases of instructional system development; including planning, coordination, implementation, revision, presentation, and maintenance of training programs.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in instructional design, educational technology, or a related field; or a combination of relevant experience, education and training that equates to the required degree.
  • Five years of job related experience.
  • Five years of experience managing large scale instructional design programs/projects.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid Texas driver license. Must be insurable through the organization’s insurers.
  • Must have completed the Applying the Quality Matters Rubric (APPQMR) workshop.
  • Must have completed the Higher Ed Peer Reviewer (PRC) course or be able to complete training within 6 months of hire.
  • Must have completed the Quality Matters Coordinator training (QMCT) or be able to complete training within 6 months of hire.
 

Motor Vehicle Report is required in addition to background check and drug screen
