Ice Arena Manager - Ice Arena

Provide superior front-line customer service and assist with the management of Pro Shop, Concession, Public Skates/special events and building activities or provide a superior degree of competency in all duties assigned to the Zamboni Room Attendants and Associates without supervision.

• All duties assumed by previous Attendant and Associate positions.
• Supervise evening and weekend shifts.
• Perform routine building walk-through.
• Building opening and closing procedures.
• Have superior knowledge of facilities, services, and programs offered through the Ice Arena.
• Assist with assimilation and training of new employees.
• Take part in the student employee hiring and disciplinary process.
• Skate fitting.
• Assist Ice Arena Student Supervisor with special projects as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Supervise evening and/or weekend shifts.
• Maintain inventory for Pro Shop and/or Concessions.
• Birthday Party/Group event management.
• Assist with building activities and programs.
• Special projects as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned by student managers or supervisors.

• All qualifications required by Ice Arena Associate or Zamboni Associate.
• Prior experience working at the BGSU Ice Arena.
• Proven ability to provide superior customer service and leadership to maintain positive relations with Ice Arena patrons.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to enforce all rules and regulations and resolve conflict.
• Will be required to work special events outside of regular operational hours.
