Position Highlights The Physiology Undergraduate Office seeks a Facilitator II. This position involves serving as the Facilitator II for laboratory sections for undergraduate Human Anatomy and Physiology courses (PSIO 201 or 202) that are offered by the Physiology Department during fall 2025 and spring 2026. The Facilitator II will mentor teaching assistants, coordinate laboratory activities, oversee group work, present slides and answer questions from groups of students or individuals, and relate laboratory activities to lecture material during each lab session.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Coordinate laboratory activities, oversee group work, present slides and answer questions from groups of students or individuals, and relate laboratory activities to lecture material during each lab session.
  • Mentor teaching assistants during weekly preparation meetings and offer teaching demonstrations to help them improve their teaching skills.
  • Participate in mandatory weekly preparation meetings on Friday afternoons.
  • Grade assignments and assessments in a timely manner and keep a record of student grades.
  • Contribute to lab set up and clean up, hold office hours, proctor lecture exams, proctor make-up assessments, and participate in the final grades meeting.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • In depth knowledge of human anatomy and physiology and teaching experience as a graduate teaching assistant or preceptor/tutor.
  • This position requires great communication skills, great organizational skills, and teamwork.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of Human Anatomy and Physiology Course (part I and II) with labs
  • Teaching experience in anatomy and physiology as graduate teaching assistant or preceptor/tutor.
