JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Department of Physics at Penn State is seeking to hire a Postdoctoral Scholar. This individual will work with Dr. Reka Albert on performing computational research involving biological data analysis and modeling of biological systems. In particular, they will develop and apply algorithms to construct discrete dynamic models of signal transduction networks using biological perturbation-observation pairs. They will also develop Markov chain models to determine the functional landscape of biological regulatory systems. The postdoctoral researcher will write research publications and assist with grant proposal development. 

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in physics or a related field. Applicants must submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and a statement of research interests electronically. Additionally, three reference letters should be sent to rza1@psu.edu .

This is a term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with the possibility of renewal based on funding availability. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
