The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is the leader of the CCC/James Cancer Hospital & Solove Research Institute senior leadership team and as such, is responsible for the development and execution of the organization's mission, vision and values and strategic plan. The James Cancer Hospital is the patient care component of the OSU-CCC and one of only 10 cancer hospitals in the nation to be exempt from Medicare prospective payment plan (DRG's). The OSU CCC/James Cancer Hospital & Solove Research Institute is a leader in research that translates to high quality patient care and educational programs for residents of Ohio and beyond and has continually maintained its designation as a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) since 1976.
Position Summary:
Develops and executes long term strategic plans as well as manages short term operations, considering critical areas such as emerging market demographics, technical developments, physician relations and satisfaction, legislative and reimbursement trends, patient and employee satisfaction and the optimum utilization of human and financial resources. Develops effective organizational and communication structures: Serves as the Program liaison both internally and externally.
Required Qualifications:
Masters degree in hospital administration, business administration or related field. Evidence of excellent verbal an written communication skills. Progressive experience in operations, continuous improvement, and operations improvement.
