The University of Chicago’s Department of Radiology seeks an accomplished radiologist and visionary leader to serve as Section Chief of Breast Imaging at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor on the School of Medicine track. The appointee will participate in strategy, budgeting, and planning for the Section. They will maintain strong relationships with referring providers and take part in institutional outreach. Clinical duties will include the full spectrum of breast imaging services. This position is based at the University of Chicago Medicine’s Hyde Park campus, where the appointee will spend most of their time. This role involves patient care delivery across other University of Chicago Medicine (UCM) sites in downtown Chicago and Northwest Indiana, requiring occasional travel. Administrative time will be provided to support leadership responsibilities as Section Chief. Remote clinical days are included weekly. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activities. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.
