Job Summary

The Associate Director of Client Solutions serves as a key liaison between Information Technology, faculty, staff, and stakeholders. This role focuses on advancing AI initiatives, supporting faculty teaching and student learning, and developing tailored technology solutions. Responsibilities include identifying and implementing AI use cases, creating tools for educational goals, delivering training and presentations, and staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends. The position emphasizes collaboration with businesses and stakeholders both within Booth and across the University campus to align technological innovations with academic and administrative objectives, fostering growth and efficiency across Booth’s technology landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Works with Booth faculty and staff to identify and document AI use cases, driving AI adoption and growth. 
  • Stays updated on AI trends and best practices to advance Booth's AI efforts.
  • Develops small-scale solutions to address client and faculty challenges, including custom configurations, lightweight automations, classroom technologies, or reports.
  • Represents Booth Information Technology by delivering presentations at student/faculty orientations and other events.
  • Maintains expertise in online teaching, technology-based course delivery, including Canvas (LMS), multimedia software, adaptive learning tools, web-conferencing, and classroom technologies.
  • Works with faculty and instructional designers to use suitable learning technologies and explores new teaching methods to advance educational goals.
  • Creates resources and services, including training, documentation, online materials, learning modules, and seminars, covering basic course management to advanced teaching technology applications.
  • Monitors trends, identifies opportunities, and explores innovative solutions to teaching and educational initiatives.
  • Networks with colleagues across campus, other institutions, and professional organizations to stay current with industry developments.
  • Identifies opportunities and develops innovative solutions to teaching and learning problems.
  • Develops and updates online manuals and user reference documentation. Acts as a resource for colleagues and system users, and responds to inquiries related to use of the systems.
  • Performs other related work as needed.


Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.


Work Experience:

Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 5-7 years of work experience in a related job discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Master’s or PhD degrees.

Experience:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in related fields.
  • Background working with faculty in a higher education environment.

Technical Skills or Knowledge:

  • Deep knowledge in AI technology and its applications in advancing academic goals.
  • High level of proficiency in Crestron, a classroom projector technology, and development experience in Crestron.  Understand code and provide troubleshooting when needed.
  • Proficient with administration of Canvas Learning Management System and other instructional technologies to further the teaching and learning processes.

  • Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills, as well as organizational skills.

  • Excellent strategic planning, critical thinking, analytical, and persuasion skills.
  • Handle multiple detailed tasks/projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines with frequent interruptions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and diplomatically with colleagues, as well as with students, faculty and corporate contacts in a multitude of communication methods, including in person, email, and phone.
  • Professional demeanor, including tact, discretion, and a customer service-oriented approach.

Working Conditions

  • This position is currently expected to work a minimum three days per week in the office.
  • This position requires attendance on campus for specific events during the year.
