Job Description:
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

The Human Computer Interaction (HCI) program at Iowa State University is seeking to fill a 1/4-time position to teach two courses in HCI annually. Topics include user experience research in industry, emerging practices in HCI, and AI’s role in HCI.

This part-time term faculty position is 25% full-time equivalent (FTE), 9-month position with an initial 1-year term. This position will have an administrative home department within Psychology.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.


Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Human Computer Interaction or a closely related field


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Human Computer Interaction or a closely related field

  • Industry experience in the discipline, including user experience

  • Record of teaching

The study of the relationship between humans and computers has quickly become one of the most dynamic and significant fields of technical investigation.
