Position Summary
The Department of Humanity & Society at La Salle University seeks applicants for a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Economics to begin in Fall 2026 (4/4 teaching load). The successful candidate will be prepared to teach undergraduate core courses in Micro- and Macroeconomics, as well as upper-level undergraduate Economics.
Essential Duties
  • Teaching lower- and upper-level undergraduate economics courses, including statistics and econometrics, for the School of Arts & Sciences.
  • Maintain an active and successful research agenda.
  • Provide advisement to Economics majors as well as service to the Department of Humanity & Society, the School of Arts & Sciences, and the University.

Secondary Responsibilities
  • Provide Service to the mission of La Salle University
Required Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Economics in-hand by August 2026.
  • Strong record of teaching undergraduate economics courses
  • Active research agenda
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of La Salle University

Preferred Qualifications
  • A candidate with an applied microeconomics background is preferred but candidates in all fields of Economics will be considered.
Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours
  • Teaching evening courses and attending weekend events may be required.
