Description of Work Unit | The Department of Computer Information Systems has twelve full-time faculty and is one of five departments in the College of Business. The Department, founded in 1964, was one of the first CIS Departments in the country. Together, the Department and College provide excellent support for research including summer research programs and a dedicated lab for behavioral research. The CIS department has approximately 200 undergraduate students and 200 graduate students enrolled in its on-campus and online Master of Computer Information Systems (MCIS) program. The MCIS program, offered to online learners using state-of-the-art “lecture capture” delivery model, has consistently been ranked as one of the top 20 information systems programs in the nation. The College of Business at Colorado State University is an AACSB-accredited business school that embraces the values of: access, excellence, impact, and community.
