The Tobacco Control Research Group, part of the Centre for 21st Century Public Health, is seeking a Research Assistant to join their friendly and dynamic team of multi-disciplinary researchers, working at the cutting edge of public health research.

About the role

As a Research Assistant for TobaccoTactics, you will work with academics, researchers and professional colleagues to:

  • Investigate topics and themes relevant to the group’s research and TobaccoTactics publication plans
  • Help to maintain and update content and databases published on the TobaccoTactics site
  • Share knowledge with and provide support to external partners and contribute to training programmes run by the Tobacco Control Research Group

Our ideal candidate will be:

  • Skilled at crafting clear, accurate and compelling writing to complement the existing TobaccoTactics content
  • Experienced in preparing, conducting and recording research
  • Motivated to update your knowledge and understanding in the field of work
  • Will not have any conflicts of interest in the forms of past work or close relationships with those who work for the tobacco industry

The role is based on the University of Bath campus and offered on a full-time, fixed term basis until 31 August 2026.
