About the Role

This post will support two projects:

1) Alzheimer’s Society funded project on Hospital at Home services for people living with dementia. The project is conducting an evaluation of hospital at home for people with dementia and there will be a range of studies within the project.

2) Personalised care and support planning for people with dementia without informal carers. This project aims to address challenges of personalised dementia care planning involving people without informal carers, with a focus on integrating primary and social care support.

The post is part of a large multi-disciplinary team of dementia care researchers across psychiatry, primary care, social care and social sciences and will provide you with the opportunity to work with academics in dementia as well as our partners at NHS England and Nuffield Health. 

About You

You will have a PHD (or close to completion) or experience at a comparable level in a relevant subject area. You will have experience of working with people with dementia and their families alongside a strong background in research within applied health or care research. This includes experience in working with NHS sites for research including applying for NHS ethics and Health Research Authority approvals. You will have experience in mixed methods research, particularly with expertise in qualitative methods and be committed to conducting research that makes an impact.
