Principal research engineer in multi-omics integration at BKV

The position

The principal research engineer will lead independent research projects focused on the integration and analysis of multi-omics data from clinical and population cohorts. Using data-driven approaches, the role aims to identify biomarkers and key molecular features related to health and disease, contributing to precision medicine and mechanistic insights.

The position includes:

• Designing and conducting multi-omics analyses (including genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics).
• Constructing new AI-driven multi-omics models
• Supporting occasional teaching and supervision in integrative multi-omics as needed.


The person we need

The person we need have/is:

• Strong programming skills, with proficiency in high-performance languages such as C, C++, or Python.
• Familiarity with machine learning and generative AI algorithms, with working knowledge of deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow is considered a strong advantage.
• Extensive experience in multi-omics data processing, including integration and analysis of complex biological datasets.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written, suitable for academic and collaborative environments.
• Self-motivation and curiosity, with a strong drive to explore new research directions independently.

 The following education, experience and expertise are required:

  • A PhD degree in bioinformatics, systems biology, biomedicine, or a related field.

In addition, the following education, experience and expertise will strengthen an application:

  • A strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.

The position is located in the Division of cell and neurobiology (CNB).
