International student ambassador

The Communications and Marketing Division at Linköping University is responsible for marketing our international degree programmes towards potential students. We use several channels such as web, social media, events, phone calls, printed material and personal meetings. 

We are looking for up to 10 international degree students from all over the world who, on a part-time basis, will assist us with content creation and student recruitment events. The group will be divided into two teams: one team focusing on Instagram and content creation for social media while the other one will focus on event linked to the recruitment year. Payment will be issued based on hours worked, which may vary throughout the year. The work might include “out of office hours.”  

Social media team

• Manage our Instagram account, about 1 week/ month.
• Content creation for our social media in Chinese.

Event-based team

• Manage online recruitment events.
• Assist with marketing activities such as webinars, phone calls, contacting potential students interested in your programme.
• Answer questions from prospective students.
• Alumni recruitment activities.
• Coordinate social activities.

Other ad-hoc activities, such as recording YouTube-videos about life as a student in Sweden/LiU, and tasks for the International Office, might be available. 

We are looking for students currently studying on an international degree programme at LiU. Previous experiences in working as an LiU Ambassador will be a merit.

If applying indicate the team you are primarily interested in. For the Social media team we are looking for students who love to create engaging content. This means you should have content creating skills, such as writing, photography, graphics and filmmaking and experience of communication in social media (image, film and writing). You should expect to give @ linkoping.university access to your personal social media upon request. For the Event-based team we are looking for applicants with experience in sales or customer-relationship management systems. To a lesser extent some experience of project management is desirable.

As a general rule, you need good social skills and an ability to shoulder responsibility on your own. 

The hourly payment will be according to existing rules and regulations for hourly rates at Linköping University. Starting date is October 2025.
