The Department of Frontier Materials is committed to advancing the frontiers of materials science and securing a strategic position in next-generation materials technologies. We focus on the unique physical properties and disruptive application potential of two-dimensional materials, leverage intelligent materials design and multi-scale computational methods to accelerate the discovery and optimization of novel materials, and actively develop large-scale materials models (AI for Science) to transform the R&D process through AI-driven paradigms. In parallel, we focus on engineering metamaterial structures at subwavelength scales to achieve unprecedented  electromagnetic, acoustic, or mechanical properties not found in natural materials.

We are currently seeking talented individuals to join our team in the following areas:

• Two-dimensional materials (with emphasis on growth, device processing, system integration and equipment development)
• Synthesis of carbon materials, low-dimensional materials and others 
• Multi-scale computation method development 
• Data-driven experiments 
• AI for materials science 
• Multi-scale modeling for materials manufacturing mechanism
• Machine-learned force field 
• Metamaterials (nanophotonics, metamaterials/metasurfaces, and metamaterial-enabled optical computing)

Open Positions:

1.Research Director (Chief Scientist)

Qualifications:

• Tenured professor or associate professor at a leading national laboratory, internationally renowned university, or prestigious research institution abroad, or having a senior leadership role at an internationally recognized company.
• A proven track record ofoutstanding original contributionsin relevant fields, globally recognized by peers.
• Extensive scientific expertise, broad academic vision, and excellent leadership abilities to drive scientific research and innovation.

2.Researcher (Outstanding Scientist)

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. degree withat least 3 years of research or academic experienceat an internationally renowned university, research institution, or corporate R&D organization.
• Proven achievements in the candidate’s field with demonstratedinnovation potential.

3.Associate Researcher (Overseas Young Scientist)

Qualifications:

• At least2 years of postdoctoral researchexperience at a renowned overseas university, research institution, or company.
• Publication of high-quality research in prestigious journals or achievement of significant academic results.

4.Assistant Researcher (Postdoctoral Fellow)

Qualifications:

• Ph.D.degree from a renowned overseas university, research institution or company.
• Around or under the ageof 35.
