Front of House Supervisor

12 month fixed-term role to lead and support a dynamic Front of House team to deliver exceptional dining and event experiences on campus.

Mō te tūka | The role

Join our Catering Services team in a hands-on leadership role, coordinating dining hall and function services. You'll train and supervise Front of House staff, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality service delivery for students, staff, and external clients.

Some Tasks of the Role Include:

  • Coordinate staffing and rosters for dining and functions
  • Oversee setup, service, and equipment for events
  • Train FOH staff and lead daily toolbox meetings
  • Monitor food safety, hygiene, and uniform standards
  • Manage stock levels and submit monthly reports
  • Ensure clear communication with chefs and event teams

This is a 12-month fixed term role covering parental leave, working 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday: 10:00 am - 6:30 pm. Salary is set at: $62,487 per annum (approx. $29.26/hr).

  • Proven experience in hospitality or event coordination
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • Knowledge of food safety and dietary requirements
  • Ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced environment
  • Confidence in training and supervising diverse teams
