The role/Te mahi

In this role, you will be part of a team of Administrators and Executive Assistants within the Research and External Engagement Divisions. You may be required to assist in other areas as needed.

Your role will be to provide high quality support to the Development and Alumni Relations (DARO) and International offices and their internal and external customers. These offices sit within the Division of External Engagement. 

You will play a vital role in the day-to-day running of these offices, and your days will be filled with a variety of administrative responsibilities.

Tasks will range from completing transactional finance processes such as PCard coding, invoice generation and payment processing and staff and non-staff reimbursements, coordinating Sensitive Expenditure applications and related activity, and facilitating travel arrangements.

You will have excellent administration skills, a strong customer service focus, an eye for detail, sound numeracy skills and exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

•    Experience in transactional finance tasks (experience using University of Otago systems is preferred).

•    The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and individually, contributing to a positive team environment.

Divisional Services and Administration is a team of highly skilled professionals responsible for delivering outstanding student and staff experiences through high quality operational management and administrative support services.  We are a strong supportive whakawhanaukataka (community), proud of the work we do as the largest workforce in the university, spanning every corner of the motu.

This is a permanent, full-time position (37.5 hours per week) located in Ōtepoti, Dunedin.

The appointment range for this role is Level 4 $63,508 to $68,185. Top of the range is $73,640.

The Administrator function also includes Kaiwhakahaere Tari positions, which support the implementation of our Māori Strategic Framework. The salary range for this role is Level 5 $69,931 to $74,609. Top of Range $80,285.
