Job Title : ARC_AIR - Post-Doctorant in Characterization of Odors Sources and Atmospheric Chemistry of Pesticides

Research:
The selected candidate will conduct research within the UM6P African Research Centre on Air Quality and Climate. Collaborating with students, postdoctoral fellows, and visiting scholars worldwide, the Centre is committed to training a new generation of African Atmospheric Scientists and faculty members. Research endeavors primarily focus on experimental and Modelling aspects. A notable characteristic of the Centre’s research is the strong collaboration among all members. The selected candidate will have to (i) develop independent research activities on the detection, quantification, and fate of airborne pesticides using advanced analytical techniques and (ii) develop a project related to the characterization of odors sources and the associated chemicals.
Candidate Profile:
- PhD in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Atmospheric Science, or related fields.
- Experience with air sampling, analytical methods such as GC-MS, LC-MS, or other relevant instrumentation. Experience in olfactory system research is highly desirable.
- Background in experimental design, data analysis, atmospheric chemistry, environmental monitoring, or pesticide analysis and scientific communication.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
