The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) is a Research and Technology Organization (RTO) active in the fields of materials, environment and IT. By transforming scientific knowledge into technologies, smart data and tools, LIST empowers citizens in their choices, public authorities in their decisions and businesses in their strategies.
Do you want to know more about LIST? Check our website: https://www.list.lu/
How will you contribute? You will be contributing to the research and development of a new testing framework focused on multi-agent systems. This framework will complement other AI testing techniques developed at LIST as part of the LIST AI Sandbox and related projects such as the Luxembourg AI Factory, part of the EU AI Factories initiative. The overall goal is to advance towards trustworthy AI systems even when such systems embed not just one but many different agents collaborating and competing together which may generate undersired emergent behaviours even when the agents have been individually tested.
In particular, on the one side, you’ll be working on the development of these new testing techniques and their implementation on top of our BESSER Agentic Framework and the Luxembourgish AI sandbox. On the other hand, you’ll be working together with the other partners in the project to build together a complete mutli-agent testing framework.
A combination of software testing, AI / LLMs, and empirical analysis techniques will be used.
You will be in charge of:
Extending the LIST AI testing and assessment capabilities with new metrics and dimensions
Develop components that wrap these capabilities and make them accessible, in particular as modules of the Luxembourgish AI Factory and as components compatible with the BESSER Agentic Framework
Empirically evaluate the impact, transparency and comprehension of such assessments
Participate in collaborations with the project partners and companies interested in testing their own models and/or choosing the right combination of agents for their needs
Participating to research papers and materials presenting and promoting the results of the projects
