Project Officer for EU-Funded Urban Logistics Research

Updated: about 9 hours ago
Deadline: ;

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Project Officer to support the execution of the NEXTLOGIC project – Next-generation urban freight logistics for net zero emissions through innovative solutions.

Coordinated by Prof. Francesco Vitti from the Engineering department, NEXTLOGIC is funded under the HORIZON-MISS-2024-CIT-01 call: Changing urban spaces and mindsets to accelerate the transition to climate neutrality. This ambitious, EU-coordinated project brings together researchers, municipalities, and industry partners across Europe to rethink and reshape urban freight transport systems through innovative engineering and policy solutions.

As the lead partner, the University of Luxembourg is responsible for managing the overall project coordination. This is a unique opportunity for a skilled project manager with experience in EU-funded research—especially within technical or engineering contexts—to take ownership of the post-award management phase and ensure smooth and effective project execution.

The tasks and responsibilities will cover:

  • Serve as the central coordination point for the NEXTLOGIC project administration, working closely with internal teams, partner institutions, and the European Commission
  • Organise and facilitate the project’s administrative kick-off and ensure clear communication between all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Oversee contractual and financial administration related to the project
  • Support and coordinate the production and timely submission of all required reports and deliverables
  • Monitor project expenses and ensure compliance with EU funding guidelines, supporting both internal and external partners
  • Drive communication with key stakeholders, ensuring milestones are met and expectations aligned
  • Collaborate with the Research Facilitator team and the FSTM’s financial controllers to provide consistent, strategic project support
