PostDoc in Computational Systems Biology and Deep Learning

Updated: about 7 hours ago
Deadline: ;

This is a fully funded position for 24 months within the FNR INTER project “Efficient and Efficacious Cellular Reprogramming with Edgetic Perturbations” (EdgeCR).

EdgeCR aims to push the boundaries of cellular reprogramming by introducing scalable computational methods that streamline the discovery of reprogramming targets and control strategies. A key innovation of EdgeCR is its fine-grained control at the edgetic perturbation level. By filling this critical gap, EdgeCR will significantly enhance our ability to understand and manipulate gene regulation. The proposed computational framework, integrated with deep reinforcement learning (DRL) methodologies for both gene-level and edge-level perturbation control, represents a significant advancement in the computational toolkit for cellular reprogramming.

The candidate’s tasks include the following:

  • Conduct research as part of the EdgeCR project, contributing to its scientific objectives
  • Disseminate research results through publications in top-tier conferences and journals
  • Participate in proposal writing
  • Assist and/or contribute in teaching activities
  • Support in the supervision of master/bachelor students

The candidate will be supervised by Prof. Dr. Jun Pang. For further information or inquiries, please contact Prof. Dr. Jun Pang directly.
