A four-year Group Leader position for a computational neuroscientist is available, with the goal to advance ongoing in house in vivo electrophysiological recordings in behaving mice and/or large-scale whole brain cellular and synaptic image analysis.

The position offers a fully working laboratory for in vivo electrophysiology, dedicated behavioural equipment, a senior post doc trained in experimental in vivo electrophysiology in behaving mice.

The successful candidate is expected to establish a scientifically independent group with own projects, while interacting closely with researchers at EBRI. Applicants should have strong expertise in computational analysis of electrophysiological data as well as proficiency in large language models and machine learning algorithms. First-hand experience in experimental work (behavioural, electrophysiology or imaging) would be a plus, though not strictly required.
